About us

BlueBarrel Wines is a quirky, family-owned winery located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. Jamie and Rodney are the eccentric owners of BlueBarrel, and they've always had a passion for wine that borders on obsession. They've spent countless hours studying winemaking and perfecting their craft, and now they're ready to share their delicious creations with the world. Located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, BlueBarrel Wines is surrounded by acres of rolling vineyards and picturesque views. Visitors to the winery can enjoy tastings of our delicious wines, take a tour of the property, and maybe even meet our resident llama, Grapes. At BlueBarrel Wines, we're all about sustainability and eco-friendliness. We use only the finest, sustainably grown grapes and traditional winemaking techniques to craft our wines. And when we're not busy making wine, you can find us hiking through the vineyards, practicing yoga with Grapes, or hosting a dance party in the cellar. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or just starting to explore the world of wine, BlueBarrel Wines has something for everyone. Our Process

BlueBarrel Wines is proud to introduce our patented process for producing the finest wine: soccer with the grapes! That's right, we use the power of the world's most popular sport to gently squeeze the juice out of the grapes and into the fermenting tanks. But don't worry, we're not roughing up the grapes too much – we use specially designed soccer balls that are soft enough to extract the juice without damaging the grapes. And we don't just play with any old soccer ball – our balls are made from recycled materials and are environmentally friendly. Not only is our soccer with the grapes process fun and interactive, it's also incredibly effective. The gentle squeezing of the grapes releases the perfect amount of juice for fermentation, resulting in wines that are full of flavor and character. So next time you enjoy a glass of BlueBarrel Wines, just think – it was made with a little bit of soccer magic. Cheers!

Meet Grapes, the wine llama of BlueBarrel Wines! This lovable llama is more than just a cute face – she's an integral part of the winemaking process at BlueBarrel. Grapes can often be found roaming the vineyards, munching on grapes and keeping an eye on the harvest. But her true talent lies in her ability to predict which grapes will make the best wine. You see, Grapes has a keen sense of taste and can pick out the sweetest, juiciest grapes with a single bite. In the winery, Grapes is always ready to lend a helping hoof. She's an expert at sorting and crushing grapes, and her gentle touch ensures that the juice is extracted without damaging the fruit. And when the hard work is done, Grapes loves nothing more than to kick back and relax with a glass of her favorite wine.
